Are All Dance Studios the Same? If most dance studios seem to have qualified, friendly teachers and a big show at the end of the year, aren't they all pretty much the same? Does it really matter which place you decide to enroll at? Yes. At Dance Elite, we believe that we offer something for every dancer at every age; from the five year old who is new to dance and wants to take just one ballet/tap combo class a week, to the older more advanced dancer who competes with a group and as a soloist at the national level. We even have beginning classes for adults and high school students, a Pre-Professional Company for dancers 18 and older, and technique only classes where students can focus on improving dance technique without having to commit to a traditional dance class or team. Our studio consists of three large teaching rooms with maple floors that have been installed over resilient padding to reduce shock and injury. Our lobby is spacious and welcoming, and our rooms have been built with large one-way viewing windows for parents to watch without being distracting to the dancers. We also have a playroom that is convenient for moms that bring younger children, and a homework area for our dancers to utilize while they are waiting for their classes. 3.On site customer service In many studios the teacher or studio owner conducts most of the classes and does the administration. By trying to do two jobs at once, the class may suffer as the teacher has to use class time for customer service issues, or the studio may have no customer service available if the teacher is in class. To have a good experience it is important to choose a studio that can assist you with details like costumes or schedules, even if a teacher is occupied in a class. Our studio has office staff on hand during most regular class times so you can get immediate assistance. 4.Winter and Spring Showcase Opportunities Many studios offer only one or sometimes no performance opportunities to their dancers. At Dance Elite we believe that learning technical skills are as important as learning performance skills, so we offer an optional, low pressure Winter and Spring Showcase performance for all of our dancers (Tiny Tots and above) in a real auditorium with professional lighting and sound.
